Gray Davidson is a sculptor based in Oakland, California working with steel, glass, fabrics, fire and light.  They studied in Portland, Oregon, developing their artistic perspective studying 2D techniques while installing site-specific, kinetic sculptures and experimenting with performance arts in the city at large.

Since 2015 they have organized and still lead a strong and diverse community of volunteer artists who collaborate in developing monumental sculptures—sometimes comprising dozens of individual works. These artworks are publicly installed temporarily and long-term in cities across the western United States; several are now key acquisitions in private collections. Since 2010, they have contributed work to more than twenty group shows in Oregon, California, Nevada and Massachusetts, repeatedly earning ‘best in show’ mentions.

In March 2024 their work was selected for the Bombay Beach Biennale and their newest public work, A Stillness of Rain, debuted in May in Santa Cruz, California.
